ABOUT ME

My Core

I was born and raised in Carmel, IN. Here is where my roots are and love for soccer blossomed. This love for the game led me to the University of Toledo. One short year there and I was compelled to follow a different path to where I currently am now, IUPUI. I was first introduced to the world of exercise science when I was a freshman in high school at Guerin Catholic HS, and I tore my ACL/MCL and medial meniscus. After going through surgery and PT, it led my ever developing, curious brain to learn more and more about that specific medical world. I was able to complete an internship my senior year of high school with Athletico PT clinic. While at Toledo, I was on the pre-physical therapist track, but coming to IUPUI that changed. I met a coach that is still a mentor for me to this day. His name is Jon Busch. As mentioned previously, he has played professional soccer for 22 years. To me he is more than just a goalkeeper coach that pushing me to be better. He pushes me to be a better person and most importantly has taught me how to be an amazing coach from the goalkeeper perspective. Through him, I started to realize I might want to coach. It was solidified when I took a position at the Bepko Learning Center on campus. Here I am an academic mentor who helps aid the learning of students taking Physiology. I discovered I love to teach and learn. So, through some reflecting, I want to combine my love for learning, teaching, and helping others to work in-conjunction with my passion for soccer and bring that to future players that I will have the honor of coaching.
